Aung Tun, MD, FACC, is a skilled cardiologist at the Florida Heart and Vascular Surgery Center, serving Zephyrhills, Lakeland, Plant City, Wesley Chapel, and Riverview, Florida. He is double board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology, which he passed in the top 10th percentile. He began his education at the University of Medicine in Yangon, Myanmar, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.

After contributing to medical research and working for several years as a general practitioner, he moved to the United States and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Since then, he has offered cutting-edge cardiology services to the residents of Florida. He is passionate about providing innovative treatments to his patients and is an expert in pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular ICD implantation, arrhythmia management, and heart failure therapy.

Dr. Tun also uses his extensive experience to help patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, varicose veins, and venous insufficiency. He has published numerous articles in various medical journals and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society of America.
